1. RB Adrian Peterson

Peterson was easily the best player on the field for the Redskins in this game. He really helped Dwayne Haskins to feel comfortable as the starter and did a lot to carry the load for the Redskins offense in this contest.

Peterson was hyper-productive once again and certainly has shown new life under Bill Callahan. Peterson logged 130 scrimmage yards on 19 touches and was instrumental in setting up the Redskins for their three field goals. And, his strong running helped to keep the time of possession relatively even until Buffalo’s game-clinching drive.

During the contest, Peterson had a couple of highlight plays. He broke a massive run in the first half and later in the game, he stiff-armed Levi Wallace twice and threw him to the ground like a rag doll as he turned a loss of three into a gain of eight. He really looked like vintage AD, and if he can continue to play like this, he will be a big weapon for the ‘Skins.

We’ll see how Peterson does down the stretch. But heading into the bye, he has certainly been one of the team’s best and most productive offensive players. After his slow start to the season, he has finally hit his stride running behind a fully-healthy offensive line.
