58. . Interim Head Coach. Washington Commanders. Bill Callahan. 28. player

Previously: Unranked

Yes, Bill Callahan is going to be on this list. He probably shouldn’t be an option for the team, but if he can get the squad on the right track, the team will consider him.

So far, Callahan has preached bringing more discipline and accountability to the Redskins along with a better run game. The lattermost point has shown up, but the rest is still a work in progress.

The thing that the Redskins can’t do is compare Callahan to Gruden when making the hiring decision. Obviously, Callahan has been a little bit of a spark for the Redskins team, but it hasn’t manifested itself into results yet. Just because they may be more consistently competitive than they were with Gruden on the field doesn’t make Callahan the right option.

We’ll keep an eye on Callahan moving forward, but consider him a longshot to get the job. But as a courtesy, the team may give him an interview if they perform better down the stretch.
