2019 NFL Mock Draft 8.0: Redskins land top quarterback, Raiders make surprise pick
I’m not buying into the last-minute smokescreen that the Cardinals appear to be orchestrating. They may be trying to drive up the trade value of Josh Rosen or trade down from the No. 1 spot, but it seems highly likely that the Kyler Murray will be the pick here one way or another.
Murray has been compared favorably to Russell Wilson, and he has some of the best pure passing talent in this draft. He has a great arm along with good mobility and pocket awareness. Lincoln Riley did a great job of coaching him up at Oklahoma, and he should be able to make an impact rather quickly as a starter.
The concerns with Murray’s height will be a talking point, but in this quarterback class, the positives with Murray outweigh the negatives. So, he could pan out and give Kliff Kingsbury the exact guy he wants to run his offense.

Other Cardinals Draft Options
DL Quinnen Williams, Alabama. The Cardinals could choose to take the best overall player in this draft and truly replace Calais Campbell.
DE Nick Bosa, Ohio State. The other top defensive option with this pick, Bosa could be a force playing across from Chandler Jones. Expect him to garner consideration if the Cardinals pass on Murray.
Trade Down. The Cardinals may try to get a team like the Raiders to trade up for Murray, but it still remains more likely that the squad will focus on taking the Oklahoma quarterback here while trading Josh Rosen.
