Redskins: A prospect to watch on each team in the College Football Playoff
The Redskins could use some help at the receiver position. They don’t have a lot of talent there, and they are lacking a dynamic speed threat. They may look to add one — especially if they target a new quarterback — and Marquise Brown would be a good fit here.
Brown had had a great season for Oklahoma and prior to the game against Alabama, he had 75 catches for 1,318 yards and 10 TDs on the year. He was one of Kyler Murray’s top weapons, and his deep speed makes it very difficult for most defensive backs to stay with him/
I had previously identified Brown as one of the top prospects to watch for the Redskins during the conference championship games. At the time, this is what I said about Brown.

"Of all the receivers in the 2019 NFL Draft, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is one of the most intriguing. While Brown is very light and only has a 5-foot-11 frame, but he has truly game-breaking speed. Brown could end up being the next T.Y. Hilton, and he will definitely be a downfield threat in the NFL. Brown would bring something to the Redskins that they are seriously lacking. And that is speed. He has the upside of a No. 1 receiver and provided that he can bulk up a bit to avoid becoming injury prone, he is worth an investment as a potential late-first to early second round pick."
Essentially, Brown is a potential T.Y. Hilton clone, so he could be nice to land if he lasts to the second round. Brown has had some injury issues in recent weeks (which makes sense given that he is slight of frame) but if he can overcome those and put on a show against Alabama, that will make many feel better about his potential for the NFL.
