No. 5 – Reality Is, the secondary has their work cut out for them yet again.

Deshaun Watson coming in with DeAndre Hopkins, Demaryius Thomas, Keke Coutee and more, was a dangerous matchup for a secondary still missing Quinton Dunbar.

I was watching if the Redskins would be aggressive with their corners, playing press coverage against the physical, but less speedy, receiving core of Houston. I was also watching to see if Norman travelled with Hopkins.

I predicted the Texans would move the ball and have some success through the air, ending up with more than 280 yards passing. I also thought Hopkins and Thomas would each catch touchdowns, as Watson would throw for a total of three touchdowns and one interception, while also being sacked three times.

Reality Check: The secondary played well enough to win this game. They held Watson to 208 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions (although the picks were both by linebackers). Hopkins did get shadowed by Norman, and did get his one touchdown. However, it was probably Keke Coutee’s five receptions for 77 yards that did the most damage in the passing game.
