1. Redskins record five-plus sacks against Texans front

The Texans have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. They lack talent all around the unit, and they really don’t have any starter that could be considered anything better than average. That should be music to the Redskins’ ears.

The strength of the Washington defense this season has been their defensive line. Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen, and Matt Ioannidis have been unstoppable at times from the interior while Ryan Kerrigan has done a solid job of producing on the edge. This matchup should be easy for that squad and they should generate a lot of pressure.

Expect the Redskins to attack both tackles in this contest. Julie’n Davenport and Kendall Lamm can be beaten fairly easily, and if the team can get pressure between guard and tackle as well as on the edge, that will make it hard for Deshaun Watson to escape the pressure and make plays out of the pocket. Greg Manusky‘s defense has the personnel to do this, and I expect this to be one of their major goals during the game.

By the end of the day, it would be disappointing if the Redskins didn’t rack up five sacks. The Texans have surrendered at least four sacks in four games this season, and the ‘Skins are one of the best pass rushes they have faced. It may be a tall order, but if Washington wants to win, this bold prediction should be something that they strive to achieve. And in all likelihood, they’ll have a chance to do so.
