2. Kapri Bibbs totals over 100 scrimmage yards, scores TD

Washington is going to be without two running backs on Sunday afternoon. Chris Thompson is going to miss another game while Samaje Perine is also inactive after suffering a calf injury.

As it stands, there are just two healthy backs on the Redskins roster. They are Adrian Peterson and Kapri Bibbs. Both should get an opportunity to touch the ball, but it may be tougher for them to move the ball between the tackles because of the offensive line issues. And if that happens, Bibbs may have the advantage in terms of game script.

Bibbs has served as the receiving back in Thompson’s absence, and he has done a solid job. Peterson is still doing a bulk of the work, but Bibbs has averaged 8.4 yards per touch in the past couple of weeks and has a score. He seems due for a breakout game if he can just get some more opportunities to catch passes.

Early on, the Redskins should look to get Bibbs the ball on screen passes. He’s very comfortable and patient on those types of plays, and he does an excellent job of finding space after making catches. That could be a good way to help jumpstart the offense early on, and he may really end up splitting touches with Peterson, especially if the Redskins play from behind early on.

Expecting Bibbs to log more than 100 scrimmage yards may be a bit insane, but if he has produced when given the opportunity in recent weeks. That’s enough for us to trust him and hope that he might have the best game of his career in Week 11.
