No. 5 – WR Trey Quinn

The Redskins haven’t been actively searching for receiver help this season. Instead, they’ve trusted in their options and fostered a ‘next man up’ mentality with key contributors such as Jamison Crowder and Paul Richardson going down.

That strategy has bore some fruit. Maurice Harris has emerged as a stable outlet for Alex Smith over the past few weeks, and Josh Doctson is playing with more confidence, making plays in necessary situations.

That said, the Washington Redskins could use a little something different. Without Crowder and Richardson, quickness has been a quality their receiving core has lacked. With the return of Trey Quinn, the hope is that their situation might change.

Quinn will reportedly take on punt return duties, but more importantly, his availability could prove useful on offense, where the Redskins lack a receiver whose quickness is his greatest weapon. Quinn’s technician-like approach could earn him the early favor of Alex Smith, if he can stay on the field.
