No. 4 – Redskins must get pressure on Matt Ryan

The Redskins pass rush was all over Eli Manning last week as they recorded seven sacks and had relentless pressure on the veteran quarterback throughout the game.

While he didn’t fill the stat sheet early in the season, Ryan Kerrigan is now turning his pressures into sacks with at least one in three of his last four games. Matt Ioannidis had his best game as a pro last week with 2.5 sacks, and he has quietly become an absolute force on the interior.

Daron Payne and Jonathan Allen already have seven sacks between the two of them, an impressive number for run-stopping defensive tackles.

Against the Falcons, the Redskins defensive linemen must continue to generate a pass rush and help collapse the pocket this week, as Matt Ryan is as good as it gets when given a clean pocket to throw in and time to pick his target.
