Score prediction

This has the makings of a massive game for the Redskins. A win would signify that this team is truly a postseason contender. A loss wouldn’t come close to ending their season, but it would make people think of them as more of a Wild Card team at best.

I expect this to be a close game and one that sees a fair amount of offense. The Saints will have a motivated home crowd, and Brees will come out slinging the rock. Smith and the ‘Skins will look to counter, but the question is: do they have enough receiving weapons to do so?

This could be a contest that comes down to coaching. Whichever coach makes the best decision at a crucial time, whether that’s Sean Payton or Jay Gruden, will emerge victoriously. Here’s hoping that Gruden decides to stay aggressive early in hopes of sparking both his offensive and defensive units.

At the end of the day, I could see either team winning the game, but the Saints still have a slight edge. It may come down to a late field goal, but New Orleans should walk out with a 4-1 record while the Redskins will regroup coming off a loss in which they actually show well.

Score Prediction: Saints 27, Redskins 26
