1. RB Adrian Peterson

This was a no-brainer. Peterson has had a bit of a seesaw start to the season, looking great in Week 1, struggling badly in Week 2, and now performing extremely well in Week 3.

The Packers really didn’t have much of an answer for Peterson. For most of the game, he was able to move the ball at will. He had a really nice 41-yard burst that showcased the combination of speed, strength, and elusive ability that he had during his prime. That was encouraging, but his work near the end zone was even better.

Peterson was able to total two TDs on the day and was really good on the goal-line. He followed his blockers and used his frame and strength to push through the Packers front. That is something that the Redskins haven’t been particularly great at in the past, as Rob Kelley didn’t have the vision to get to the hole inside the five while Samaje Perine didn’t run with low enough pad level.

Peterson’s smart, strong style really helped him to stand out in that area and made him the team’s Week 3 MVP.
