Redskins defense vs. Ravens offense

The Ravens offense could end up being a real challenge for the Redskins defense, and that’s for one simple reason. They have better quarterbacks.

Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III will be battling for a backup spot with the Ravens. While Jackson is a roster lock, Griffin isn’t, so expect the two of them to be competing hard when on the field. Griffin will look to put on his best show while Jackson tries to prove that he is improving his accuracy from week to week.

These two passers will certainly give the young Redskins corners a test. Adonis Alexander, Greg Stroman, and Danny Johnson should see the starting reps as they figure to be the team’s top three backups. The Ravens receivers aren’t particularly good, but battling a couple of solid quarterbacks should continue to give these guys a chance to develop further at a crucial time in their careers.

Elsewhere, the Redskins defensive line depth will get a chance to prove themselves against the backups for the Ravens. Baltimore has invested a lot of resources into the offensive line, and they have some good-looking players who will be on the second team. Tim Settle could have a chance to have another really good game, and he will be the player to watch up front throughout the night.

Overall, the Redskins defense has a tough test. If they can shut down Jackson and RG3, they will have a chance to win. But, that might be easier said than done.
