Redskins: Keys to beating the Eagles

1. Put Pressure on Sam Bradford

The Washington Redskins have emerged as one of the top defensive teams in the NFL in 2015.  However, a few areas they have yet to do consistently is pressure the quarterback and creating turnovers.

Well against NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles that’s something that must change if the Redskins are to get the win.  Defensive coordinator Joe Barry has done a solid job of improving the defense this year but he needs to find a way to improve in those two categories.

With Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford struggling to start the season the Redskins need to ensure they get after him on Sunday.  Like Kirk Cousins, Bradford has thrown 3 TD’s this season compared to 4 interceptions.

So this game may come down to which quarterback breaks out of his funk and plays the best.  Against Bradford the Redskins need to get more in the way of pressure from OLB Ryan Kerrigan, Jason Hatcher and their pass rushers.

They don’t necessarily need a bunch of sacks but if they can get some hits on Bradford and fluster him in the pocket then they might be able to force him into some mistakes.
