4. Dennis Thurman, defensive coordinator – New York Jets – Thurman played nine seasons as a defensive back in the NFL mostly with the Dallas Cowboys.  He’s been a defensive backs coach in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, and the New York Jets.

Thurman is currently the defensive coordinator for the Jets, but it appears as though Jets head coach Rex Ryan will be fired after the season, and Thurman may become available.  Although the Jets have had a losing season, their defense is ranked 6th in the NFL and they run a 3-4.
