Continue the Deep Shots to DeSean Jackson

There were two passes where Griffin overthrew Jackson during the Tampa Bay game, but that shouldn’t discourage him from taking his shots. Jackson has shown the ability to get behind the defense consistently this season, regardless of who the quarterback is. He’s made Kirk Cousins look good, Colt McCoy look good, now Griffin just has to utilize the speedster.

There isn’t a cornerback in the NFL that can keep up with Jackson, and that includes the 49ers. San Francisco is fourth in the league in passing yards allowed per game (220.2), but they haven’t faced a receiver like Jackson this season. Neither Perrish Cox or Chris Culliver has the speed to run with Jackson.

The toughest part about this for Griffin: Getting the time to take his shot. There is a chance that left tackle Trent Williams will miss Sunday’s contest, which could play a huge role in this game. Aldon Smith, who returned from his suspension last week, will be pinning his ears back to get after Griffin.
