Week 10 – The Jets got a surprising win at home over the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-13

Ryan is coming off of an 8-8 season on 2013, so to be sitting at 1-8 right now has been a huge disappointment for Jets fans.  The thinking was that the Jets would improve on what they did last season, but they’ve regressed.  and most of the problems have centered around the development of quarterback Geno Smith.

It seems that Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik have butted heads over Smith as to whether or not he should be starting.  But the this indecision may end up costing both of them their jobs.  Ryan was on the hot seat last season, but managed save himself.  Unless he wins out, I doubt that will happen this time around.      Coaching Hot Seat   LW # 1
