2014 Redskins Camp Battles – Wide Receivers
3. Leonard Hankerson – Age: 25, 6-2, 211
Pros:
- At 6’2, Hankerson is one of the tallest receivers on a team that lacks size at the position.
- He clearly has the talent to start as he had become a starter opposite Pierre Garcon last season.
- Showed the potential of having a breakout season last year until he was injured.
Cons:
- Hankerson Is still recovering from a torn ACL, and he may need more time to come back fully.
- Even if he’s cleared to practice, he might not be at his peak performance to stand out from others.
Hankerson may be a candidate for the PUP list, as he may need more time to recover from his knee injury. If he has to go all out right now to secure a roster spot, he may not be able to do that. However, Hankerson’s size gives him an advantage, as he’s one of the Redskins bigger receivers.
