7. David Shaw, head coach – Stanford Cardinal  –  Shaw has compiled a 34-6 record as head coach of the Stanford Cardinal.  He served as the offensive coordinator at Stanford under Jim Harbaugh, and has become one of the hottest coaching properties in football.  Shaw not only has developed a good offense at Stanford, but he has also shown an ability to stifle the powerful Oregon offense, which is now run in the NFC East by Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Shaw has recently signed a long-term contract extension with Stanford, but he will remain a top candidate as long as the winning continues.
