Per a report by ESPN, the Cincinnati Bengals have traded Quarterback Carson Palmer to the Oakland Raiders. The details of the deal remain to be seen. Palmer was not playing in Cincy after owner Mike Brown refused to grant him a trade. Palmer is a welcomed upgrade over the soon-to-be starter Kyle Boller. Jason Campbell broke his collar bone last week and will be sidelined for at least 4-8 weeks, if not the entire season.

The question now is whether or not Jason Campbell will get his job back. If Palmer can pick up the Raiders offense quickly he should have Oakland contending for a playoff spot as long as he stays healthy and upright.

[UPDATE] – Per sportingnews.com the Oakland Raiders are to receive a 2012 first round (and possible conditional 2013) pick in the NFL Draft.

]]> That is not likely.  The embattled defensive lineman will likely remain here in Washington for at least the remainder of the season.  The main reason for it?  The asking price has stayed the same.  The Skins want a second rounder in return, and based off of Haynesworth performance and public “devaluing” who will be willing to trade?

So buckle up, he will be on this team. And he will should be on the field come Sunday in Chicago.
