]]> It’s been hard to say this recently but this appears to be a pretty great move by the Redskins.  Coach wasn’t sold on Gabbert and thankfully didn’t freak out and pull the trigger when he was sitting there at 10.  The Redskins were able to trade back 6 spots with the Jacksonville Jaguars and picked up a second round pick in the deal as well (#10 for #16 and #49).  The Redskins need young, talented bodies and picked up another chance to get an immediate contributer with pick 49.  The Skins used pick 16 to snatch Purdue OLB Ryan Kerrigan, a hardworking, turnover machine, born and bred in Indiana.  While he may not have the name recognition or prestige of other players that were still on the board, Kerrigan is a player, who will immediately improve this defenses pass rushing AND run stopping ability.  The key to what possibly makes Kerrigan a better fit for the Redskins than a Robert Quinn is his physical ability to help out in the running game as well as provide a pass rush.
