Forgive my play on “Benjamin Button” but I just had to put the two posing in the same way together. Now to the nitty gritty. Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are featured front and center in this Official Redskins Store ad

The Washington Redskins recently ran an ad via email (pictured above) advertising $25 off of “select jerseys”. We can grant the Redskins that it is nearing that special time of year where gifts are given and received, but with numbers 47 and 89 being placed front and center you have to wonder.

This advertisement could simply be the marketing of two of the Redskins most beloved players these last few years or it could be an indicator of what many already expect. Santana Moss has been productive for much of his seven years in Washington, but he’s 32 years old on a team that is only trying to get younger. We also can’t forget his hand injury that has sidelined him the last few games. He doesn’t seem to be providing as much of a kick with the two lackluster options the Redskins have at quarterback. By now many of you know that Redskins tight end Chris Cooley was placed on injured reserve, ending his season with a broken finger and knee injury. The injuries, combined with the exponential growth of now-starting tight end Fred Davis have lead to a question of whether or not Cooley will be back for the 2011-2012 campaign. Mike Shanahan’s thoughts on whether he makes the roster are an entirely different argument. I’m here to talk about whether or not this guy is “Ring of Honor” worthy.
