Redskins play into Giants strengths

Sunday’s game against the Giants is going to be a struggle. Even when the Giants were struggling/collapsing/blowing it down the stretch last year they absolutely trounced us on Monday Night Football(a game that included the infamous swinging gate play…). We are struggling on both the offense and the defense, and unfortunately the Giants are set up to handle us with relative ease.

Brandon Banks may be that diamond

Through three games Brandon Banks has established himself a real asset on this Redskins team. He is averaging 20.3 yards per return and has a long of 53-yards. It is only a matter of time before this kid breaks out.

Banks feels comfortable with what he has done, but insists that he wants to put points on the board.

“I feel pretty good, but I’d feel a lot better if I put points on the board,” Banks said earlier this week. “I feel like I’m getting comfortable and getting a good opportunity at what I do best.”

Though he is a beast on special teams, Banks still feels like he can be a threat on offense.

“I’m just waiting and being patient for my opportunity,” he said. “But there is a couple of plays out there for me. Hopefully, I’ll get my number called on Sunday and I’ll have an opportunity to run them and go out there and show everybody.”
