Now the Redskins have a problem. Jason Reid, Washington Post, tweeted the following this morning in regards to the findings of Albert Haynesworth’s MRI.

1. Redskins sources: Frustration with Haynesworth rising in organization because conditioning process occupying too many key people too long.

2.Although team knew he would require individual attention at start of camp, feeling internally is he could/should have passed test by now.

3.Team officials perplexed because he continues to perform well on treadmill. “He was flying” on treadmill Thursday, said one source.

4.Results of MRI exam (no structural damage) and last treadmill work (outstanding) means Mike Shanahan will hold firm: No pass, no practice.

For more from Riggo's Rag follow on Twitter @riggos_rag.

It is hard to argue that Haynesworth has been “faking” it this whole time.

This past week we have seen him come out of his shell, a bit. He is actively watching practices and has been seen giving advice and tips to young players, a stark contrast to last Thursday, July 29th.

When I first saw him on Thursday at Redskins park, his demeanor was sullen and apathetic as he approached his individual work. Granted I don’t know him personally and I am certain he does not care what the media thinks, he just had the appearance of a guy who did not “feel” like doing what he had to do.

Now Albert is not the martyr suffering under the cruelty of Mike Shanahan. No, he is the lazy fat kid that says he is sick get out of going to school and was caught. This now poses a bigger problem many have not foreseen.

Mike Shanahan has said time and time again, Albert must pass to in order to practice. But should Shanahan let up and allow him to practice?

It is in my opinion, no.

Many feel that this has gone far too long and resources have been wasted. And indeed so. I do not know Albert’s motivation for failing this test over and over again, but one thing you cannot coach is character. Everyone knows he “fakes” injuries. Opponents says he does and called exact moments when he would do it. Sure enough, the predictions came true. Albert Haynesworth’s physical condition is not what is out of shape. His mental and passion for the game appear to be weak, and that will not do him any good on a Mike Shanahan led team.

If we are to see #92 on the field, he will do it Shanahan’s way. At least that is what I am hoping. Is this team a better team with him, sure it is. But this team is prepared to play without him.
