RIGGO’S RAG STAFF

Dave-GuyDavid Wagner, the lead writer of Riggo’s Rag became a Redskins fan in 1983 when two major events, John Riggin’s legendary 43 yard TD run in Super Bowl XVII and the Colts leaving Baltimore a year later, converged to forever change the sports landscape in the state of Maryland where he grew up. He is currently assistant editor at MIT Sloan Management Review, MIT’s journal of management research and ideas, and is involved in other freelance projects. He’d like to say that he is not in any way related to the David Wagner who wrote “Saving Ryan’s Privates” starring Marc DeCarlo. He lives in San Francisco, CA with his wife and daughter.

GuyGuy Damrosch, aka “Redskins Guy”:

Guy grew up in the suburbs between Washington DC and Baltimore. As a young child, he grew up without a football team due to the Baltimore Colts’ treacherous exodus to Indianapolis. Fortunately, he was able to find the warm loving embrace of the Washington Redskins and has never looked back. He’s been a devoted fan ever since. During the offseason he attended Johns Hopkins University and earned a degree in Psychology. He owns a home with his lovely wife in Columbia Maryland, where he aspires to be a full time freeloader. He has vowed to name all of his future children “Joe Gibbs” regardless of gender. Recently, after strong objection from his wife, his stance has softened slightly; he is now also considering “Darrell Green” as a second option.

I was born in Tokama Park, MD and lived there till I was 14.  I remember when my Dad would take me to Redskins game at RFK, I was still very young back then around 7, but I can still remember how the stands would shake and the awesome experience that was RFK.   I moved from PA  to NY and back to PA and everywhere I went I have met some passionate Skins fans.   Some of the craziest fans I met were in NY they really go all out and they have some great bars.  I currently reside in York, PA where we have a very big fan base, we are proud of skins and we constantly have to deal with those Eagle fans but its all in good fun.  I try to get down to Fed-Ex field as much as I can and for the record, the skins are 5-0 when I attend, maybe I sure go to more games!
