8.  Jim Harbaugh – San Francisco 49ers

2014 Record:  4-4

The reality of the situation is that Jim Harbaugh should probably at the top of this list.   But it’s hard to contemplate a coach who’s accomplished as much as he has being on the hot seat at all, and yet Harbaugh is.  Apparently there is a rift between the 49ers management and Harbaugh that can’t be worked out.

But if the 49ers don’t bring Harbaugh back next season, then he will go straight from the hot seat to the hot list of head coaching cnadidates, as any team with an opening will be wanting to talk to him.   LW # 8
