3.  Gabe Miller, outside linebacker - 6-3, 250 – Once the Redskins cut six-year veteran Rob Jackson at outside linebacker it was obvious that the last spot at that position would go to either Gabe Miller or Everette Brown.  And Miller had a strong performance on Thursday night that might give him the edge.  He was good against the run and also got a sack and a forced fumble, and even recovered the fumble.

2.  Clifton Geathers, defensive end - 6-8, 325 – Geathers looked dominant against the Buccaneers offensive line.  His size and strength made him hard to block and his presence made it hard for the Buccaneers to run the ball inside and he also led the Redskins with 2 sacks in the night.  With the injury to Chris Neild this performance may have solidified Geathers a spot on the team.
