Running backs:

Projected Number – 5

1.   Alfred Morris -

2.  Roy Helu Jr –

3.  Darrel Young  –

4.  Lache Seastrunk –

5.  Silas Redd –

Cuts:  Chris Thompson, Evan Royster,

Chris Thompson didn’t play too badly against the Buccaneers.  He showed off his speed as a runner and a receiver.  However he was still out performed by both rookies Silas Redd and Lache Seastrunk.  Redd with his hard running style and Seastrunk with his speed and play making ability.

Alfred Morris is the starter but I think we’ll see Roy Helu take a bigger role in the offense this season as a receiver out of the backfield.  Fullback Darrel Young will also have bigger role as Jay Gruden has stated that he would like to get him more involved in the offense.

Had Thompson been able to stay healthy he may have won the third running back job but his durability is a question mark.  And both Seastrunk and Redd have outplayed him in the preseason.
