Redskins make Initial round of Roster Cuts

The Washington Redskins have announced their initial round of roster today.  They have also made other roster moves as well.  Here is a look at the player the Redskins have released:

Fullback – Stephen Campbell

Wide Receiver – Cody Hoffman

Linebacker – Jeremy Kimbrough

Wide Receiver – Rashad Lawrence

Safety – Ross Madison

Defensive End – Jake McDonough

Linebacker – Adrian Robinson

Defensive End – Jeremy Towns

Outside Linebacker – Rob Jackson:

Jackson has been a key reserve for the Redskins for six seasons and was re-signed this offseason by the team as well.  So with Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan as the starters and rookie Trent Murphy entrenched as the top three outside linebackers that leaves at least one more slot to fill at the position.

And more than likely that final outside linebacker spot will be chosen between two players, Everett Brown and Gabe Miller.  And both have played well so far in the preseason.

The Redskins also placed tight end Mike Caussin on it’s Injured Reserve list.  The Redskins have made nine cuts and one roster move so far and need to make five more to get down to 75 players by Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
