Outside Linebackers:

Once again the outside linebackers gave a great example of defensive coordinator Kim Haslett’s plan to turn them loose this season.  As they had another tremendous game rushing the passer led by Ryan Kerrigan who had two sacks on the night.  I thought Brian Orakpo had an all around good performance not only putting pressure on the quarterback but he looked good in coverage as well.

Rookie Trent Murphy is still learning but even though he lacks experience his motor is non-stop and he has a way of making good things happen even if his technique isn’t perfect yet.  The other backup Rob Jackson seemed to be playing with a sense of urgency and even though hurt his shoulder, head coach Jay Gruden said he’d be fine.

I also like the other reserve outside linebackers, and I thought Gabe Miller flashed the most as he got nice pressure on Johnny Manziel a few times in the second half.
