Redskins running back Evan Royster is entering his fourth season with the Washington Redskins. When he’s been called up to run the ball for the Redskins he’s done a good job. As a rookie he rushed for 328 yards on a 5.8 yard per carry average. And it looked as though he had a bright future ahead of him. But then came Alfred Morris and Royster was relegated to third string.
And this preseason Royster has been out performed by rookies Lache Seastrunk and Silas Redd. But against the Cleveland Browns Evan Royster put his name back into the thick of the Redskins running back competition. Royster had a big play late in the first half with a 24 yard reception from Kirk Cousins. And then Royster put the Redskins up a halftime 7-3 with a tough 2 yard touchdown run. Redskins vs. Browns.
