Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall suffered a back injury Sunday in practice and was carted off the field. But apparently the injury wasn’t as serious as it was first thought to be. Head coach Jay Gruden commented on the injury:
“DeAngelo did a somersault and landed on his back and bruised his back. And he’s walking around a little better today just a little sore but I don’t imagine it being very long.”
Jay Gruden was asked how the injury occurred and he stated:
“It was an individual, we were doing one on ones in the red zone. And Andre caught a fade and he went for the ball and just did a somersault and landed on his back kind of awkwardly so to speak. He just got up a little sore. They carted him off just for the dramatic exit. He could have walked off and made it a lot easier for me today.”
Gruden didn’t say exactly how long DeAngelo Hall would be out. Only saying it wouldn’t be very long. So it’s unknown if Hall will be available for next Monday’s preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. But if Hall can’t go then Tracy Porter or E.J. Biggers could take his place in the lineup. However, for now it seems like Hall may be good to go in time to play.
