Redskins vs. Patriots – Redskins Depth Chart Report: The Washington Redskins released their depth chart on Monday for their preseason game against the New England Patriots. Redskins head coach Jay Gruden had this to say about the depth chart for Redskins vs. Patriots:
“Nothing’s set in stone right now, we just had to do it for the media. So we just put the depth chart out there and we have a pretty good idea who our ones are and our two’s are. But there is still plenty of competition at a lot of spots but this is our starting point right now.
Sometimes if it’s close we’ll put the veteran in front and then we’ll just go from there. And just let the preseason games play it out. That could be changeable we could change it after out first preseason game, we’ll see how it goes.”
There weren’t any surprises on the depth chart. No rookies are starting and as Gruden said the veteran players are pretty much at the top of the depth chart. On the defensive line Jarvis Jenkins will be starting at right defensive end in place of Jason Hatcher, who still hasn’t been cleared to practice with the team.
Inside linebacker Will Compton is listed at second string behind Keenan Robinson and in front of free agent signees Akeem Jordan and Adam Hayward. However, it’s like Gruden stated any listing right now could be subject to change. But otherwise everyone who was expected to be starting at this point is starting. Redskins vs. Patriots
