Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson recently stated that he thought Philadelphia Eagles fans were more negative that Redskins fans. As Eagles fans have at times been known to boo their own players, and Jackson perceives Redskins fans as being more supportive of the team.
But since then I’ve heard from a few Eagles fans who have stated it’s only a matter of time before Redskins fans turn on DeSean Jackson. Mainly because as they say he doesn’t like to go over the middle, and he gives up on routes.

But is this just Eagles fans angry because Jackson made a negative statement about them, or could they be right? I think most Redskins fans are happy to have DeSean Jackson on the team, as we’ve seen him light up the Redskins defense so often over the years. But there’s always another side to the story, and so far I don’t see many Eagles fans too disappointed that Jackson is gone.
Maybe that won’t happen until they see him catch his first bomb on them from Robert Griffin III. But unless Jackson pulls an Albert Haynesworth on us, I can’t see Redskins fans turning on him any time soon. For one thing I doubt the Redskins will be sending Jackson over the middle very much, but we’ll have to see about him giving up on routes.
However, so far after his divorce from the Eagles, all’s well in the Redskins marriage with DeSean Jackson. But how long will the wedded bliss of the honeymoon last? What do you think?
