Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson addressed the media after the Redskins first practice of training camp and stated that he’s not focusing on the past with the Philadelphia Eagles, but on the future with the Redskins. Jackson states:
“Honestly I really don’t compare it to anything else, I’m just looking at it as a new opportunity a new beginning. I really don’t get caught up in too much as far as the past and things like that. So we’re here, we have a lot things going that we want to get accomplished, so that’s really where we to focus at.”
“I just look forward to being here. The biggest thing I can say is I’m not really caught up in the past and what went on and things like that. Biggest thing I can say is they have some great guys here, great coaches, great front office, and I’m happy so at the end of the day that’s all that matters. So we’ve got a long year a long season, so hopefully we can start off how we want to finish.”
There will be a lot of focus on DeSean Jackson and how he interacts with his new teammates and coaches, and so far it seems like he’s coming in with the right mentality. Nothing negative to say about the Eagles and what transpired with them in the offseason, but starting out focusing on what he needs to do with the Washington Redskins.
