Here is a list counting down the Top 32 Washington Redskins of 2014 – No. 9

9.  DeAngelo Hall - cornerback

Age 30, 5-10, 198 pounds

Analysis: DeAngelo Hall got off to a very fast start last season.  He was arguably the Redskins best player early in the year, and managed to help keep the team in games with three defensive touchdowns.  Hall led the team in interceptions with 4 and was second in forced fumbles with 3.  He was also very effective against the run with 78 tackles on the season.

Hall helps give the Redskins a swagger on defense, as he is one of the more brash and confident cornerbacks in the league.  He typically covered the opposing teams number one wide receiver when the defense was in man coverage.  As Hall is still the Redskins best cover corner, and he hasn’t lost much speed over the course of his ten year career.

If the Redskins could get a better pass rush going this season then it’s possible that Hall’s interception total could go up.  Also, with David Amerson starting this season at the other cornerback spot, and Tracy Porter covering the slot, then the Redskins might be more flexible in how they can use DeAngelo Hall this season.
