4.  More options at safety - The Redskins were lacking in bodies last season at safety.  Along with Brandon Meriweather they also started rookie Bacarri Rambo, veteran Reed Doughty, and also cornerback E.J. Biggers.  But none of those combinations seemed to quite do the job.  In 2014 they get back second year man Phillip Thomas from injury, and they signed free agent Ryan Clark as well.  Plus, Tanard Jackson is back from suspension so at least the Redskins have more to work with this timeTanard Jackson has been suspended indefinitely.
