Cousins dropped from 68.8% in 2012 to 52. 2%, and RGIII dropped from 65.6% in 2012 to 60.1% in 2013. Griffin’s knee injury had something to do with this, as his passing mechanics were affected by that, and not having enough time in the offseason to get the reps necessary to improve on his accuracy.
And the last three games Cousins started the weather may have affected him. Especially against the New York Giants, where in the rain he completed only 39% of his passes. Passing accuracy has to increase next season for the Redskins if they are to make a run at the playoffs.
