Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon was voted as the 80th best player in the NFL’s Top 100 players list. Each year the NFL conducts the voting among the players in the league and reveals the list on the NFL Network after the NFL Draft. Garcon was not voted on the list for 2013, but he makes an appearance this year.
Garcon had an outstanding season in 2013, as he emerged as quarterback Robert Griffin III’s number one target. He led the team in catches and broke NFL Hall of Famer Art Monk’s single season receptions record, setting the new mark at 113. Garcon also added 1,346 yards receiving and caught 5 TD passes on the year.
Garcon tweeted he thought he should have been voted higher:
If he can have another huge season in 2014 then I think Garcon will be voted even higher next offseason. And the possibility of Pierre Garcon having a big 2014 season are very good, especially with RGIII getting healthy again, and having free agent signee DeSean Jackson on the other side drawing coverage away from him.
