2. Sean McDermott, defensive coordinator – Carolina Panthers – McDermott will interview with the Redskins and will be one of the first candidates to do so, as the Panthers have a bye this week.  McDermott has experience coaching in the NFC East, as he spent thirteen years with the Eagles.  He went from being a scout to being defensive coordinator for two years until he was fired in 2011.  He’s been the defensive coordinator in Carolina the past few seasons and their defense was ranked #10 in 2012 and #2 this season.
