The Chiefs lead the Redskins in twelve statistical categories 7-5.  The Redskins have a huge advantage on offense, but the Chiefs have the advantage defensively.  The Chiefs turnover differential of +14 seems to be the main reason they are winning this season.

Surprisingly these two teams aren’t that far apart statistically on defense.  But take into account the Chiefs have played two of the best offenses in the NFL the past few games in the Chargers and the Broncos, and the Redskins have played two of the worst in the 49ers and the Giants.  So the stats are somewhat skewed.  The Chiefs are much better than the Redskins on defense.
