Enemy Intel Report - 49ers vs. Redskins - part 2

Orly Rios Jr. of ninernoise.com provides more Intel about the upcoming contest between the San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Redskins.  49ers vs. Redskins – week 12.  Here is part – 2 of the Enemy Intel Report – Week 12

4) Which Washington Redskins players on offense and defense will the 49ers be concerned about the most?

Obviously, RG3 is the key to the offense. As he goes, so goes Washington.  After him, if he plays, watch out for Jordan Reed.  His absence in the Philly game hurt Washington.  On defense, it’s the combo of Orakpo and Kerrigan. You’ve seen what a good pass rush can do to Kap, so it will be interesting to see how those two put pressure and whether Kap finds running room up the middle of the field between the tackles.

5) Which San Francisco 49ers player has been the biggest surprise, and which has been the biggest disappointment so far this season?

Biggest surprise would probably be the play of the backups on defense. The 49ers lost their starting defensive end, defensive tackle, linebacker, corner and safety for entire games and weeks at a time.  Tramaine Brock really went from the 4th cornerback to the starting rotation in a matter of weeks.

The biggest disappointment for the 49ers would definitely be Colin Kaepernick, but I think it’s got more to do with him having to justify to playing with a very patchwork receiving core.

6) Who will win the game between the 49ers and Redskins, and why?

It will be a blast to see Kap and RG3 go head-to-head, but I’ve got to go with the better defense, and give the nod to the 49ers.

49ers vs. Redskins.  That concludes part -2 with Orly Rios Jr.  Here is part 1 of the Enemy Intel Report.
