Lorenzo Alexander has become the Redskins’ latest cap casualty. Alexander was a special teams Pro Bowler last season and had been with Washington since 2006. He was a captain and an emotional leader for the Redskins, but with their current cap restrictions, the team couldn’t compete with the financial firepower of other teams.

Arizona signed Lorenzo to a three-year, $9 million deal with $3 million guaranteed per @DavidElfin.

It’s official, I’m an Arizona Cardinal! I appreciate all the love an Support I received in DC.

The Redskins are rumored to have offered significantly less to Alexander.
