The often injured and always rehabbing right tackle for the Redskins, Jamaal Brown, is set to void tomorrow at 4:01pm reports Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington.

Jammal Brown’s contract is set to automatically void tomorrow at 4:01 p.m., in effect making the oft-injured right tackle an unrestricted free agent, a source with knowledge of the contract confirmed Thursday.

Brown, who did not play this season because of a lingering hip injury, was scheduled to count $4.6 million against the Redskins’ salary cap in 2013. Instead, the 31-year-old’s cap charge will be $3.3 million in dead money next season, freeing up $1.3 million for a Redskins’ team that is facing an $18 million cap penalty for a second straight year.

After being injured during a conditioning drill on the eve of training camp, Brown attempted to return to the Redskins’ lineup in November but suffered another setback in practice and was placed on injured reserve. Tyler Polumbus started all but one game in Brown’s place.
