Redskins "steady" offensive line faces free agency

Tyler Polumbus was a huge part of an offensive line that was supposed to be this team’s weak spot.  Instead it helped lead league in being of of the most exciting offenses, making way for over 2,700 rushing yards in the process.  However, this success was quickly met with the reality that not all pieces may remain together.

Polumbus started the season for Jamaal Brown, whose attempts at yoga were not enough to get him back on the field.  Brown was on the PUP list for much of the season before finally being shut down in November.  Polumbus did more than contribute, he was a linchpin and certainly played beyond anyone’s expecations.

“Just getting a chance to go out there on the field and getting as many reps as I got, you’re going to grow and you’re going to get better,” Polumbus explained. “[I] had some ups and downs this season, as everybody does, but that was the good part about getting to come out the next Sunday: to learn from your mistakes and try to get better.”
