Redskins vs. Falcons: Who’s Picking Who in Week 5

Looking around the web, everyone’s picks for this week’s game against the Redskins are in.  I finally broke my losing streak when picking the home town team, but based on my picks this week, I’m hoping I go back to picking the wrong team when the Redskins play this Sunday.

Unfortunately Peter King agrees with me and thinks Matty Ice will be able to have his way with our secondary. He picks the Falcons winning 33-30.  (What’s wrong with “RG3″?  Why the start of this BobGrif.  It sounds terrible, and I doubt someone as cool and hip as the Redskins quarterback would ever respond to “Bob”.)

At espn.com only 3 of the 12 commentators the Redskins. Accuscore has it as a much closer game than the experts would make you believe giving the Redskins a 49% chance of winning.  The readers of ESPN.com also pick the Falcons to win on the road.   Usually I make some smart comment about the picks on ESPN here, but when an overwhelming majority pick the Falcons, all I can say is….this is why we post on SI.com

It’s not looking good at NFL.com either where all 5 former pros/coaches picked Atlant.  However, most were wrong about Thursday night’s game, so there is still hope.  Plus how many of these guys are suffering from too many concussions?

At yahoo, Les Carpenter is the smartest football analyst there.  The other two yahoos pick the birdies to win.

CBS Sports is starting to see the way, with 2 of their top three pickers predicting the Redskins will cover the spread.  The rest, if you really want to know didn’t pick the Skins.

So it looks like on paper we are not well liked by the experts to win this week.  Even Vegas has us as a road dog.  So what do you think?

Will the Redskins go 3-2?

  • Yes. The Redskins win this week. (0%, 0 Votes)
  • No. The Falcons win on the road. (100%, 0 Votes)
