For those of us that aren’t fortunate enough to possess season tickets due to financial constraints or being number 50,001 on the wait list, we look for any way to get our hands on Redskins tickets. There are a few different sites that you can go to for tickets to see your NFL team on Sunday. The option I will be discussing is my personal favorite, StubHub.com. StubHub has a 10% or $5 (whichever is greater) fee added to the value of your purchase. They also offer two-day shipping via FedEx (surprise) at $11.95 or electronic delivery (when available) for a lesser fee. Now that all the fees have been laid out, here are the prices for tickets to each preseason game this summer.
Prices are based off of the average price of one ticket within a pair of tickets (or greater) within each level of FedEx. This includes Upper Level Bowl (UL), Club Box (CL), Lower Level Bowl (LL), and Dream Seats (DS).
Game 1 – Indianapolis Colts – 8/25/2012 @ 4:00 pm
- UL – $20
- CL – $275
- LL – $125
- DS – $300
Best option – The first and second overall picks in April will face off at FedEx Field in what has been dubbed “The Game of the Summer” by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. If you want to get a good look at these two and know you won’t get much closer during the regular season, go all out. There’s a set of tickets for $400, literally feet from the field. If you’re on a budget at all, I recommend a seat within the first five rows of the upper level. The upper level is great if you want to understand everything going on on the field and it will potentially save you hundreds. For this game you can get a pair of decent upper level seats for $48.
Game 2 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 8/29/2012 @ 7:30 pm
- UL – $12
- CL – $80
- LL – $65
- DS – $200
Best option – This is the last preseason game of the year, so it will be full of players vying for the few spots on the roster left. It will not, however, be full of RGIII slinging the rock or Pierre Garcon going deep for six. This game is one where you can seize the upper level deal for pennies on the face-value dollar. You can get a pair of upper level tickets on the 50-yard line for $24.
