Remember Chris Horton? The former Redskin’s safety and one time NFL defensive rookie of the month (September 2008) has signed a contract today with the New York Giants. An intriguing pickup by the Giants due to the fact that Mr. “Predator48″ himself did not even play in the league last season. Horton’s career peaked in Week 2 of his rookie season when he recorded a fumble recovery and two interceptions, one of which sealed the win, against the New Orleans Saints. The former 2008 7th round pick eventually crashed back to earth, and after many injuries and poor play was left off the roster at the conclusion of training camp last summer. Good for Horton to get back into the league, albeit with a division rival. He joins another former Vinny Cerrato draft pick in the Giants secondary; 2008 4th rounder Justin Tryon. An interesting signing by the Giants, I will be curious to see of he makes the final roster come August.
