Redskins 2012: Hankerson undergoes surgery

On Saturday, it was discovered that Washington receiver Leonard Hankerson underwent surgery on his injured hip he seriously hurt against Miami last year. It was Hankersons first game with meaningful minutes, and looked to be a promising draft pick before he went down in pain

Hankerson revealed his surgery on his twitter account, where he said the following:

Ok well the bad news is, I got surgery Tuesday, and the good news is, I’ll be ready 2 go b4 camp start.

I’ll be ready to go, jus gota keep working hard with Rehab everyday

Although it is good to hear that our future star receiver opted to go with surgery, he will likely miss all of the teams mini-camps. This will mark Hankerson’s second straight year without a team camp, a big loss for him considering he’s been in the league for 2 years.

Hopefully Leonard will be ready when the season starts, as he continues his journey from Miami to the NFL
