There's no way the Redskins get Luck. The Colts are just too bad. That and even if they weren't number one someone else besides us would be and they'd take Luck (or trade the pick, and I doubt Shanahan would be willing to pay the premium cost in picks for the guy).

That being said, if things don't turn around a little bit soon, we'll be top 5. Matt Barkley and Landry Jones are probably the two best guys besides Luck, and closest to pro-ready. RGIII and Ryan Tannehill come in at 4 and 5, but I think they'll need a year before being ready to roll.

So ultimately, we should get Barkley or Jones if we keep playing terrible. Of course Shanahan could rock the boat and do some trading down, and try and stockpile some 2nd round or later picks, like last year. I wouldn't hate it if we got a later 1st rounder QB (RG3 or Tannehill) but also managed to snag around 3 second round picks (hopefully to get a good CB and 2 solid OL), but we'd still have the QB problem for at least one year. It might be better to bet the farm on a new QB and grab a few OL, and then try and bring in a vet CB or something to round out the squad.

Or we could be sneaky and try and get Chad Henne or Kyle Orton for a steal. Considering that Matt Moore hasn't been terrible, and they'll have a new coach at the end of the year who may want to clean house, we could get Henne for as little as a 4th or 5th rounder (possible even free if they drop him). Orton could be in a similar situation, but he'll probably cost more, and there may be other suitors. Doing that would make it easier to wheel and deal with our picks and try for 3 or more 2nd round picks to round out our squads.

A final option is to say "F- everything" and grab Blackmon or Jeffrey, and hope they're the next Megatron. Then...I dunno. Sort of a pipe dream, and doesn't make a ton of sense on the whole, but a monster wide receiver would be a nice gift to a QB like Henne or Orton if they did come on board.

Lots of scenarios, but sadly none involve Luck. He's #1 overall, and, for better or worse, we're not quite that bad.
