A report earlier today surfaced from NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora that Rex Grossman will indeed be the starter for the Redskins in just under two hours at Miami.
There had been reports earlier in the week that John Beck and Rex Grossman were splitting reps with the first team. It appears now that coach Mike Shanahan has lost faith (maybe only for this game) in John Beck and realizes that in order to get the offense moving, they need Rex Grossman.
The Redskins were 3-2 with Grossman as the starter and averaged 17.8 points per game when he was in the game. This is in comparison to about 12 points per game with Beck in (including TD against Philadelphia).
Hopefully Grossman can spark the ‘Skins offense against a struggling Dolphins team.
